| The Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace (BFW) program is a consultancy
service for employers provided by the Australian Breastfeeding
Association (ABA). BFW aims to remove the workplace as a barrier to
breastfeeding.

Creating a supportive breastfeeding environment can deliver
significant cost savings by improving retention rates, encouraging
earlier return to work, reducing the need for sick leave & carer's
leave, and reducing recruitment and re-training costs.

BFW provides practical resources and information for companies looking
to support their employees to maintain breastfeeding. We also run the
Breastfeeding Friendly Workplaces Accreditation program, which
recognizes and promotes best practice in meeting the needs of
breastfeeding women in paid work.
